Tournaments for Your Team

At the Fargo Basketball Academy, we know that real game experience is just as important to a player's development as consistent practice. We want to help our players to have as many opportunities to improve their skills as possible, so we've compiled a list of tournaments to provide coaches with an easy reference. We are not the contact for any of these tournaments, but we are continuously updating the list.  MARCH 2025

• MARCH 28-29: 51st ANNUAL YMCA BOYS INTERSTATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT [5-on-5]- Aberdeen, SD. Grades 3-9 Boys. Registration Fee: $140. 3 game guarantee. Registration Deadline: Friday, March 14, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Caleb DeBoer by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at the public schools and other local gyms in the Aberdeen area. A and B divisions. Concessions offered. Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Shirts for sale. Admission fee. 
• MARCH 29: 37th ANNUAL VCPR SPRING SHOOTOUT [5-on-5]- Valley City, ND. Grades 4-8 Boys and Grades 4-8 Girls.  Registration Fee: $200. 3 game guarantee. Registration Deadline: Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Matthew Brandvold by phone or email. Additional Information: Located across 3 facilities including Gaukler Family Wellness Center, Valley City Rec Center, and Valley City High School. Both A and B divisions in each grade. Awards handed out to 1st and 2nd place in each division.  This tournament is a state qualifier for the North Dakota State Basketball Championships. 
• MARCH 29: COMET ATHLETIC CLUB 3 ON 3 [3-on-3]- Mayville, ND. Grades 2-8 Boys and Grades 2-8 Girls. Registration Fee: $100. 3 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Friday, March 14, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Rhonda Nelson by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at Lewy Lee Fieldhouse, Mayville State University. First 100 teams with complete registration and confirmed payment will be accepted. Free t-shirts are given to all participants. Medals will be award to the top two places in each division. Each team must have an adult coach. Concessions available all day. 
• MARCH 29-30: MBBC SPRING SPECTACULAR [5-on-5]- Mandan, ND. Grades 2-8 Boys and Grades 2-8 Girls.  Registration Fee: $200. 3 game guarantee. Registration Deadline: Saturday, March 22, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: John Sayler by phone or email. Additional Information: Upper and lower divisions where possible. Great gyms with plenty of seating. We have clock workers hired so that you don't have to do it. Rings or basketballs awarded for champions. Medals for 2nd, 3rd and 5th in certain brackets.  

APRIL 2025

• APRIL 4-6: JUNIOR GRAND AM [5-on-5]- Grand Forks, ND. Grades 3-12 Boys and Grades 3-12 Girls. Registration Fee: $220. 3 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Sunday, March 23, 2025. Additional Information: Games played at Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, Alerus Center, UND Wellness Center, Choice Health and Fitness and local high schools and middle schools. 2025 Pacesetter Qualifier Tournament: North Dakota youth teams in Grades 3-9 are invited to qualify for the Pacesetter Great Five-State Championship in Minneapolis through participation in the Jr. Grand Am on April 4-6. One or two North Dakota teams at each grade level from the Jr. Grand Am will earn bids to play in this 8-team championship, which includes a minimum of one game on the main Target Center floor - the home court of the NBA Timberwolves and WNBA Lynx. The five states providing teams are ND, SD, IA, WI and MN. 
• APRIL 18: SPRING SHOOTOUT [3-on-3]- Fargo, ND. Grades 3-6 Boys. Registration Fee: $50. 3 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Shoot 360 Fargo by phone or email. Additional Information: Tournament takes place on a no-school Friday. Athletes will be active for the full 90 minutes.  During their off games, they'll have access to compete on the Shoot360 shooting courts or Shoot360 skill courts.  Teams of 3-5 players. No coaches needed. Shoot360 instructors serve as game facilitators. Tournament will begin with a traditional 3v3 tournament bracket where a 3v3 champion will be crowned. Then all teams will compete simultaneously in a shooting league competition; the team with the highest point total at the final buzzer will be the Shooting League champion. Awards given for both 3v3 champions and Shooting League champions.  All games on wood floors. Compact 90-minute event. 
• APRIL 26: RISE UP BASKETBALL ACADEMY TOURNAMENT [5-on-5]- Fargo, ND. Grades 7-8 Boys. Registration Fee: $225. 3 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Saturday, April 5, 2025. Register Online Here. Tournament Contact: John Paul Bright by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at the Empire Sports Complex.  Concessions offered. Open to all teams. Medals awarded for first place finishers only. Scheduling managed through the Exposure app. 
• APRIL 27: RISE UP BASKETBALL ACADEMY TOURNAMENT [5-on-5]- Fargo, ND.  Grades 6-7 Girls. Registration Fee: $225. 3 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Saturday, April 5, 2025. • APRIL 27: 3 ON 3 TOURNAMENT: VALLEY CITY STATE UNIVERSITY [3-ON-3]- Valley City, ND. Grades 3-12 Boys and Grades 3-12 Girls. Registration Fee: $100. 3 Game Guarantee. Osmon Fieldhouse (The Bubble) on VCSU campus. 
• APRIL 27: SPRING SHOWDOWN 3v3 [3-ON-3]- Hawley, MN. Grades 2-8 Boys and Grades 2-8 Girls. Registration Fee: $100. An invoice will be sent out closer to the event. 3 Game Guarantee. Additional Information: Games played at Hawley Elementary School.  5 players max per team. If your grade level is not on the list, we are full and you will be put on a waiting list if you email.

JUNE 2025

• JUNE 4-26: SHOOT 360 FARGO AND FARGO BAKSETBALL ULTIMATE SUMMER 3-ON-3 LEAGUE [3-ON-3]- Fargo, ND. Grades 5-8 Boys and Grades 5-8 Girls. Registration Fee: $200. 12 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Friday, May 16, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Fargo Basketball Academy by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at Fargo Basketball Academy and Shoot 360 Fargo. This is a 4-week league. Each team is scheduled for one hour each week. Shoot360 instructors will serve as game officials. No adult coaches. Each team can carry 3-5 players. Score will be kept, and overall records will be reported. Awards given to the league champions in each division. Boys will play on Wednesday evenings. Girls will play on Thursday evenings. We will cap the league with 12 teams per division.
• JUNE 14-15: 1ST ANNUAL JESSE JACOBSON MEMORIAL REGIONAL TOURNAMENT [5-ON-5]- Fargo, ND. Grades 6-12+ Girls. Registration Fee: $380. 4 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Monday, June 9, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Tim Jacobson by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. This is formally the NDPRO Basketball Regional Tournament. Concessions offered. Certified referees. Championship shirts for 1st place. This is an AAU tournament.) Divisions include: 12U-17U, high school, middle school, 6th grade and college.
• JUNE 17: CLASS B BATTLE FOR THE BUBBLE [5-ON-5]- Valley City, ND. Grades 7-12 Boys. Registration Fee: $200. 3 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Jacob Toepfer by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse (The Bubble) on Valley City State University campus. Varsity and JV Divisions (will take Class A and AA JV programs). All games played on hardwood. Championship shirts for the winning team. 

JULY 2025

• JULY 9-31: SHOOT 360 FARGO AND FARGO BAKSETBALL ULTIMATE SUMMER 3-ON-3 LEAGUE [3-ON-3]- Fargo, ND. Grades 5-8 Boys and Grades 5-8 Girls. Registration Fee: $200. 12 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Friday, June 20, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Fargo Basketball Academy by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at Fargo Basketball Academy and Shoot 360 Fargo. This is a 4-week league. Each team is scheduled for one hour each week. Shoot360 instructors will serve as game officials. No adult coaches. Each team can carry 3-5 players. Score will be kept, and overall records will be reported. Awards given to the league champions in each division. Boys will play on Wednesday evenings. Girls will play on Thursday evenings. We will cap the league with 12 teams per division.

• JULY 18-19: BATTLE BY THE BEACH [5-on-5]- Detroit Lakes, MN. Grades 9-12 Boys and Grades 9-12 Girls. Registration Fee: $200. 3 Game Guarantee. Registration Deadline: Thursday, July 10, 2025. Register online here. Tournament Contact: Keith Eckhoff by phone or email. Additional Information: Games played at Detroit Lakes High School. Two days, two different tournaments. All games played in one day with a very efficient schedule. Get in, play and be on your way. Pick your day, or play both tournaments both days.
